A Holistic Fertility Toolkit — The Practices That Supported My Natural Pregnancy at 41

A Holistic Fertility Toolkit — The Practices That Supported My Natural Pregnancy at 41.

When I look back at my two year journey to conceiving Elias, I can see clearly now what I couldn't always see in the middle of it — that every practice, every modality, every act of care I gave myself was a piece of the picture. Nothing worked in isolation. Everything worked together.

This is my honest toolkit. Not a prescription — your journey is uniquely yours. But an offering of what supported me, in the hope that something here might support you too.

For the Physical Body — Earth

Nutritional cleansing. Living in Costa Rica, I used what I had available — superfoods to clear heavy metals and candida, to support my hormones and gut health. I used olive oil massaged into my belly when I couldn't find castor oil. I focused on whole, nourishing foods, healthy fats, and reducing sugar.

Yin yoga for fertility. A specific practice designed to open the meridians connected to the reproductive system. Slow, held postures that create space in the pelvis and hips and allow energy to flow.

Hydration. Simple, underrated, essential. Two litres of clean water daily — with trace minerals added where possible.

Reducing toxic load. Slowly clearing heavy metals, parasites, and candida overgrowth — things that quietly drain vitality and disrupt hormonal balance.

For the Emotional Body — Water

Hypnosis and subconscious healing. Daily hypnotherapy practice that took me into past lifetimes, ancestral stories, and deep emotional imprints held in my womb space. This was the most transformative work of my journey.

Allowing grief. Giving myself full permission to cry, to feel, to acknowledge the sadness and frustration without rushing to move past it.

Journaling. Writing without editing — letting whatever wanted to come out land on the page. A daily practice of emotional release and self-inquiry.

For the Mental Body — Air

Belief reprogramming. Identifying the limiting beliefs running in my subconscious — I am too old, I don't deserve this, my body will fail me — and consciously rewriting them. Daily affirmations spoken aloud, hypnotherapy to embed the new beliefs at a deeper level.

Choosing my information diet carefully. Limiting time in fertility forums where fear tends to amplify. Filling my mind with stories of possibility rather than statistics of limitation.

For the Energetic Body — Fire

Nervous system rituals. Morning breathwork before screens. Midday pauses. Evening wind-down rituals. Teaching my body, day by day, that it was safe.

Reiki. Regular self-Reiki practice to keep my energy field clear, balanced, and flowing.

Movement. Gentle, joyful movement — walking in nature, swimming, yoga — that kept my energy alive without depleting it.

For the Spiritual Body — Ether

Past life regression. Going into the subconscious to find and heal the soul-level stories that were blocking me. Releasing grief held across lifetimes.

Trusting my intuition. Choosing to believe the dreams I was having, the knowing I carried, the voice inside that said — he is coming. This is not over.

Ceremony and ritual. Creating small, intentional rituals around my cycle, my womb, and my connection to something larger than myself.

The thread through everything

Looking back, the thread through all of it was this: I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it. I stopped trying to force conception and started creating the conditions for it. I tended to all five layers of myself — physical, emotional, mental, energetic, spiritual — and slowly, the conditions that had been blocking me began to clear.

None of it was linear. All of it was worth it.
